Settings & Configuration

The Settings page is where you configure the backend engines that power Creator Publisher.

Meta API Configuration

To post directly to Instagram and Facebook, you must connect a valid Meta Developer App with the appropriate permissions.

1. Generating a Meta Token

You need a Long-Lived Page Access Token from the Facebook Graph API.

  1. Go to the Meta for Developers portal.
  2. Create an App with the Business type.
  3. Add the Instagram Graph API product.
  4. Generate a User Access Token, then exchange it for a Page Access Token with these permissions:
    • pages_show_list
    • pages_read_engagement
    • pages_manage_posts
    • instagram_basic
    • instagram_content_publish

2. Entering Credentials

In Creator Publisher Settings, enter:

  • Meta Token: Paste the long-lived token.
  • Account ID: Your Instagram Professional Account ID (connected to a Facebook Page).
  • API Version: (e.g. v18.0).

Click Test Meta Connection to verify your setup.

AWS Configuration (Optional)

If your media files are too large for direct tunnel uploading, you can use Amazon S3 as an intermediary.

You will need:

  • AWS Access Key
  • AWS Secret Key
  • AWS Region
  • AWS S3 Bucket Name

Click Test AWS Connection to ensure the desktop app can read/write to your bucket.

Auto-Scheduler Preferences

  • Posts Per Day: Limit the maximum number of posts the Auto-Publisher will deploy in a single day.
  • Active Window Start/End: Define the time range when it is safe to publish (e.g., 09:00 to 22:00). Posts will never go out while you are asleep!
